Basic Classification Of Ceramic Tableware

Ceramic tableware is mainly divided into three categories: stoneware, porcelain, and pottery, each with different characteristics and applicable ranges:

1. Stoneware: usually refers to hard and dense ceramics fired at high temperatures, with low water absorption and high strength. The color of stoneware is generally darker.

2. Porcelain: Fine ceramics made mainly from kaolin and other materials, fired at high temperatures, with low water absorption, hard texture, smooth surface, and generally white color.

3. Ceramics: refers to ceramics fired at lower temperatures, with high water absorption, loose texture, usually protected by glaze layer on the surface, and diverse colors.
